WHAT'S UP, INSTAGRAM?

I’ve been wearing makeup for as long as I can remember and, depending on the product, I’ve always categorized it into two categories: •Glittery eyeshadow and bold lipstick —> fun stuff •Foundation —> I hate to say it, but, more often then not, I’ve used it more as a shield Let me explain. I have extremely sensitive skin, prone to blocked pores and hormonal breakouts. Sometimes, it will be super nice for a few days and then, out of the blue, it rebels against me like an angry teenager in full puberty mode. It’s not always easy, but I’m learning to coming to terms with my skin’s ups and downs. It’s a living organism after all, and not a robot. I have to remember that, whether my skin is glowing and flawless or hosting a breakout open house party on my chin, it doesn’t make me more or less beautiful. It just makes me… Me. The other thing is that, when you cover those little imperfections (I hate calling them ‘imperfections’, because it only perpetrates the negative aura around them, but you know what I mean), you risk making your problem worse if you’re not using the right products. I’ve been using @dermablendpro Smooth Liquid Camo foundation for a couple of weeks now and, trust me, it’s one of the best foundations I’ve tried in a long time. On top of being super hydrating (read: glowing complexion) and having an SPF 25 protection, it’s non-comedogenic, oil, fragrance, paraben, phtalate, and cruelty-free. And because my days usually start really early and usually end pretty late, I fix it with a thin veil of their Loose Setting Powder for extra longwear. Wear makeup. Don’t wear makeup. Wear makeup once in a while. It doesn’t matter, just as long as you manage to find yourself beautiful, with bare skin or with a full face of makeup ❤️ Promise? Ma mère Micheline. Cette force silencieuse. Celle qui s’est toujours dévouée à ses trois filles, au risque de parfois (trop) s’oublier.
