January: 3 Products That I’ve Tested and Loved

Being a freelance blogger has many perks, two being:

1) You know how my looks are always so thoughtfully put together? Well, I get to NOT look like that 90% of the time. meaning I write from my couch in my pjs with a hairdo that one could describe as preeeetty funky.

2) As I rock my awesome look on my couch, the door bell rings, telling me that there’s a package waiting for me at the door. Inside, there’s another perk: beauty goodies.

Basically, a part of my job is to try top notch creams and sequined eyeshadows in the least fancy outfit you’ve ever seen. However, that continuous flow of products sometimes makes it hard to review everything; I just don’t have enough skin to try them all! I know, I could test them for two days and then tell you what I think, but I believe it takes way more time to accurately review a product…

… that’s when this new monthly rendez-vous comes in! I’m going to try three products for 30 days and give you my honest-I-swear opinion at the end of each month. If I try more, I’ll focus only on the ones that I really liked, because I’m more the positive type of gal ;) Here we go!

Huge Extreme Lash Mascara by Stila

I tend to be disappointed by most mascaras that claim to be “volumizing”. Something’s always off, either the texture is too clumpy or the brush is too big to manoeuvre. Good news, I think I’ve found THE one: this mascara by Stila. Layers add on like a charm, my eyelashes look like I stole them from a Russian doll and you can remove it almost entirely using just water, speeding up your beauty routine by a lot.

Triple Oxygen Energizing Vitamin C Day Cream by Bliss

Have you ever tried splashing orange juice in your face? Me neither. BUT, this moisturizer is probably what it would feel like. Being part of their popular Triple Oxygen line, this peachy colored and orange scented cream is meant to bring your tired and dehydrated skin back to life. Don’t expect a mircale, but the texture is incredibly refreshing and the smell is seriously vitalizing. Plus, my sensitive skin didn’t have any bad reactions.

Plumping.Wash and Plumping.Conditioner by Kevin Murphy

I’ve told you a zillion times before: my hair is ridiculously fine AND it’s been falling out relentlessly in the past months. Regardless of the reason (hormones, seasons, stress, life!), it sucks. When I told my wonderful hairdresser Sophie Tessier (Salon La Rousse), she recommended me those two products by Kevin Murphy and now… I’m hooked. My hair feels so much healthier: it’s thicker, shinier and softer*. Same thing with my friend Stephanie who was simultaneously using the same products without me knowing. She literally said: “My hair has never been that healthy”. I know, it sounds like an infomercial, but it’s true, really.

*I’ve also been using Nutricap for about three weeks.

See you next month to find out which products are worth a spot in your cabinet!
